You can include up to 200 media contacts and/or outlets using Personalized Pitches. Send your emails from your saved lists or directly from the results of a search! To learn how to search for media contacts and outlets, click here.

To send a Personalized Pitch from a media search:
1. Navigate to the Contacts tab. 2. Select Search. |  |
3. Run any relevant media search.
4. Once you're on the results page, use the checkboxes along the left to select specific recipients or click the top checkbox to Select All recipients on the page (default is 50 recipients).
5. To Select All Recipients in the Search Results, click the top checkbox, then click on the Select All button.
6. Use the Email Selections button to choose Personalized Pitch.
***NOTE: If one or more of the selected contacts are missing an email, a modal denoting such will show up when you click the Next: Compose Email button. Take note that any contacts that do not have email addresses will not show up in the recipient list when an email is sent out.
An email composition widget will pop up, allowing you to created your personalized pitch. Craft your email as you would from your own inbox using the following options:
- Select sender email address: This dropdown menu will showcase all the integrated emails associated with your account.
- CC & BCC: These fields function exactly as they would in a standard email account, allowing you to send a copy or a blind carbon copy in addition to the emailing the media. Please note that because Personalized Pitches work as if you're sending directly from your inbox the CC or BCC recipient(s) will receive an email for each email sent to media (ie if you're sending to 20 media, the CC or BCC recipient(s) will receive 20 copies of the email).
- Subject: Choose something short, informative, and catchy!
- Text formatting bar: Cision provides all the standard email formatting options that users have come to expect from email clients. In addition, we offer several template strings which allow you to automate customizing the email to a first name, last name or full name.
- Body: Craft your email as you would from your own inbox.
Email Composition Widget
- After you design the initial email, choose the Next: Review and Personalize option. From here you’ll be able to personalize messages to each of the selected contacts. You can customize every part of the message that you would in the initial composition stage.

- When you're ready to send the email, select Send Now or you choose Send Me a Test Email to preview the email prior to sending.
NOTE: Since Email Pitches use your email servers and do not include Cision's Opt-Out functionality, it is your responsibility to honor opt-out requests from recipients.
